MARBLE
CLEANING, SEALING AND MAINTENANCE OF MARBLE
After tiles have been laid allow sufficient time as per the tile adhesive supplier's specifications for
the grout and adhesive to cure sufficiently so that the maintenance system will not inflict any damage to the grout or adhesive. Always use protective equipment for eyes, hands and feet.
SYSTEM
A: Manual cleaning
Apply a dilution of SPECKLEEN NEUTRADET or FLEXCLEAN diluted between 1:50 and 1:100 depending on the degree of contamination by mop to the affected area.
Use a single disc scrubbing machine with a red pad or natural fibre brush.
Rinse with clean water and remove all residues by means of a wet extraction machine with defoamer.
If cleaning by hand, ensure that the cleaner has rubber or latex gloves, eye and adequate foot protection.
If skin becomes irritated, wash with copious amounts of clean water.
B: Auto scrubber cleaning
Apply a dilution of SPECKLEEN NEUTRADET or FLEXCLEAN diluted up to 1:100 depending on the degree of contamination to the affected area.
Use with red pads or natural fibre bristle brush attachment.
Move over the affected area slowly allowing the SPECKLEEN NEUTRADET or FLEXCLEAN to have sufficient contact time with the substrate.
Where very bad soilage is encountered, lay down a solution of SPECKLEEN NEUTRADET or FLEXCLEAN first and then come back after giving it time to react with the floor using the above autoscrubber system.
Add a defoamer to the waste collection tank.
Rinse with clean water and remove all residues by means of wet extraction machine.
Ensure that the cleaner has rubber or latex gloves and eye and foot protection.
SEALING
It is strongly recommended that marble be sealed with SPECKLEEN® PERMOSEAL STD SB penetrating sealer.
POLISHING
Diamond cutting, honing, polishingand re-polishingis services available on request.
MAINTENANCE
Manual cleaning
Daily:
Sweep daily using a SPECKLEEN Masslin dust remover.
Spot clean with clean water or for heavy soiling a solution of SPECKLEEN NEUTRADET or FLEXCLEAN using a micro fibre tool and cloth.
Weekly:
Wash with a solution of SPECKLEEN NEUTRADET or FLEXCLEAN.
Autoscrubber
Add a solution of SPECKLEEN NEUTRADET or FLEXCLEAN in dilution up to 1:100 to the dispersion tank.
Use natural bristle brushes or red pads.
Use a defoamer in the waste collection tank.
Rinse with clean water.
FIRST AID
If skin or eyes becomes irritated, wash with copious amounts of clean water.
